Hi All,

I’ve done a lot of Appendix G/Performance Rating Method and “baseline vs. proposed” modeling in the past with eQUEST, using the built-in measures capabilities to create my proposed building from an initial model of the Appendix G or existing baseline. As I transition to E+ and OpenStudio, I’ve been trying to find the best ways to accomplish a similar workflow. From what I can tell, doing this can be quite difficult in E+, possibly needing to create scripts to simplify the process, and I’m not sure how often it’s used for this type of work. For OpenStudio, there are of course some BCL measures available and for Appendix G specifically, I came across the openstudio-standards gem which seems promising for creating a baseline Appendix G model. Being I’m still getting the hang of E+/OpenStudio, I’d love to hear how others are using these tools for performance rating method and baseline vs. proposed modeling - any tips, tricks, or insight would be great! Thanks in advance!
