In first step of analysis, each zone’s temperature can be either constant or scheduled but for improvement scenario thermal zones will be scheduled according to user behavior. For example , in new usage schedule will be indicated outside break times and etc.

I often use Excel to develop schedules. This can make it easy to coordinate a group of schedules, such as thermostat, lighting, occupancy, HVAC equipment and miscellaneous plug loads. Below is an image showing data for a typical office schedule.

From these values, I can create multiple Schedule:Compact objects, and then copy-paste the text into my idf file.

If you want more detailed schedules, you can use the Schedule:File object.
