Predicting detailed energy usage of commercial buildings

Hi! I'm looking for a tool to help us determine how to size solar + battery installations if net metering were to not exist and without having to install an expensive on-site meter. Curious if Openstudio is used for this today or could be a good fit or if you have other recommendations. LMK and thank you!
