I can't open IDF editor and I receive invalid extension error. [closed]

Hi I am trying to open IDF editor but it does not open. The icon is shown on the taskbar but the editor is not opening.

Plus whenever I click an IDF file I receive an extension error saying the file's extension is invalid (even on E+ example files)
