How do you model loads for IT closets for an office HQ?

Hi, we are trying to model IT closets (9-15 m2) for an office HQ with the following below. (These closets work in tandem with the large office data center where most of the actual racks and UPS equipment are located.) IT closet equipment: - Security floor distributor - GSM Remote Unit - IP BMS Controller - Admin & Utility Floor Distributor (For telecommunication)

  1. The IT closets were reported to have a power density of 43 W/sf. This seems high for an IT closet and I read that it is typically estimated at 20 W/sf. Are there any literature regarding the typical power density of IT closets.

  2. Do IT closets with the listed items consume electricity energy? In other words, should they only be giving off heat ONLY and do not draw too much electricity?
