Exhaust fan proper operation
Hello! I am modeling a room in EnergyPlus as a single zone, with an ideal load air system. An exhaust fan also exists. The inlet node for the exhaust fan is the "Zone Ideal Loads Supply Inlet" of the ideal load air system and the outlet node is an ambient air node i created. The thing is that i am not sure if the ZoneAirMassFlowConservation object is working properly (not sure if the incoming air due to infiltration and ventilation for IAQ equals the exhausting air). The results i take from the Fan Air Mass Flow Rate variable is satisfying as it is equal to the maximum flow rate i set (constant fan operation with 100% efficiency). The same happens with the Zone Air Mass Balance Supply Mass Flow Rate which is equal to the exhausting air. However, the Zone Infiltration Mass Flow Rate is not modified at all compared to the file where no exhaust fan exists. How can i be sure about the proper fan's operation and the conservation of air mass in my zone? Thank you!
