EndUseType vs EndUseCategoryTypes

What is the difference between the two? So far I have been using EndUseCategoryTypes, but this morning I noticed the first class as well.

According to this

End uses that can be metered by EnergyPlus. Some EndUseTypes correspond to EndUseCategoryTypes, others do not.

I do not really understand it. In which case should I be concerned and consider the difference?
