while running the Daylight simulation with the help of Radiance on OpenStudio 1.7 I get the following error: " No tool matching: expandobjects 8.2.-.- no sql file given, running EnergyPlus... " ... "ERROR: No tool matching: expandobjects 8.2.-.- Radiance export aborted."

I found the referred thread in the search on this forum, but the content is no longer available..

KR, Anna.

I have seen people report success when they reinstall EnergyPlus after the OpenStudio installation. There is an issue filed for this, WRT Radiance.

following your advice, I installed Energy plus into the default folder and located it again via "scan for tools". This way I only managed to get rid of the minor error (URL Found in IDF: file:files/AUTVienna.Schwechat.110360IWEC.epw but no source could be located.) I call it minor because I saw it appearing in the error list in the tutorial, where the rest of the functions were working.

as for the >>>The job in 'C:/Users/labor/AppData/Local/Temp/OpenStudio.wh4932/resources/run/1-Ruby-0/in/model/radiance/gen_eplus/2-ExpandObjects-0' did not finish successfully. <<<

and >>failed to run ModelToRad<< both of these errors are still there

Is it relevant that Energy plus finds two tools, one C:/EnergyPlusV8-3-0 and the second one at C:/Program Files/OpenStudio 1.7.0/share/openstudio/EnergyPlusV8-2-0? When I tried to ignore the second one, it reports more errors

The "...epw but no source could be located" error can be ignored. But if reinstalling E+ did not resolve the ExpandObjects error, we'll have to dig deeper. Could you possibly post the latest version of your OSM to Dropbox or someplace similar so we can grab it and have a look?

hey rpg, thanks for your reply. I hope Google Drive works. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B0lP... let me know if you need the link to some other server. I have several users on my PC, but I installed all the programs as admin and tried to log in as admin and run the simulation there again, with the same result as the common user. So this can not be the issue. Radiance has also been added to the system path.
