Where are OpenStudio components saved on your hardrive?

We are downloading different components for our model but are working on a shared drive; do the components save to the hardrive or do we have to redownload every time? Is there a way we can save to our shared hardrive so that it doesn't not have to be re-downloaded by different team members every time they used OpenStudio?

BCL content is stored right off your home directory: ~/BCL. It should be possible to map that directory to a location on a LAN for sharing. If multiple users try to download/write components simultaneously you might run into problems, but that seems unlikely.
