Cleaning up the pollution in the tags page

asked 2015-05-21 10:05:13 -0500

After the invasion of the movie spammers, the tags page is now cluttered up with tags for movie, age, of, fury, and so on. The spam posts have been cleaned up, so these tags don't have any contents when you click through to them, but they still show high post counts. Can they be removed - perhaps by not counting deleted posts towards a tag's post count?

Tag clean up is something we perform somewhat regularly. It is definitely high on the priority list after the recent spam. We are still working on some security features to ensure this level of spam does not occur again in the future.

I just went through and cleared out the obvious offenders. If you come across any more, please notify us by sending an email to unmethours@bigladdersoftware.com

Is it possible to automatically delete a tag that has no questions?
