I am setting 3 refrigerant loops for 3 chillers. I need to split the chiller into 3 loops because I cannot find how to schedule the chillers (their on/off schedules are not the same). But every chiller connect with every AHU in the building (the difference is just their on/off schedule) but when I split the loops and drag the AHU to the refrigerant loops, I have found that 1 AHU can only place in only 1 plant loop (when I drag AHU to another loop, the AHU in the first loop has gone). I would like to ask if there is any way to schedule chillers in the same loop or set AHU to many plant loops. Thank you

The easiest way in OpenStudio ([1]) is probably to model 3 PlantLoops with one chiller on the supply side. Put an AvailabilityManager:Scheduled on each plant loop to turn it off when you don't want the chiller operating.

Place an ideal HeatExchanger:FluidToFluid (HX) on the demand side, set the Control Type to CoolingSetpointModulated

Each of the three primary loops would look like this:

One of the 3 primary loops

Make a secondary PlantLoop, with the three HX on the supply side, and the AHU coils on the demand side.

Secondary Loop

[1] Note: In EnergyPlus, I would probably make it one loop and tweak the PlantEquipmentOperationSchemes with 3 PlantEquipmentOperationCoolingLoad each with one chiller, that I would schedule On/Off, but in OpenStudio that is not possible
