How does EnergyPlus calculate the consumption?
Hello!
I have been using OpenStudio and EnergyPlus for several months. My work is getting the consumption and validating whether using my algorithm on HVAC can save energy or not.
Can anyone tell me how EnergyPlus calculate the consumption?
My model is using "ideal air loads". Can the consumption results accurately indicate how much energy my algorithm can save?

If you haven’t yet you may want to look at input/output reference ,and superficially about ideal air loads to see if that will work for you, or more likely if you need to model a detailed HVAC system. https://bigladdersoftware.com/epx/doc...
