Does anyone know if/where I can get the OpenStudio prototype (and measures) used for the Advanced Energy Design Guide for Multifamily Buildings - Achieving Zero Energy (ASHRAE, 4/14/22 - https://www.ashrae.org/technical-reso...

I can investigate if there is a plan to share specific files, but we do have this OpenStudio seed model with per-configured measures that makes a model similar to those used for the guide. This was made to support Solar Decathlon Design Challenge competitors. The PDF linked above is paired with the OSM and resources files (including measures) in this directory.

This is does however only work with OpenStudio 3.0.1 (OS App 1.0.1). If you look through the PDF you will see three is a correlation between the floorplan and theResidentialGeoometryCreateFromFloorSpaceJS. If you try your own floor plan the arguments in the measure should be updated to reflect the apartment unit characteristics. If you want to use this I would first try it in current state, confirm it works, and then try customizing it. While this workflow won't work in newer versions fo OpenStudio, there isn't any reason that the OSM that comes out oof this can't be opened in newer OpenStudio and version translated to version 3.3 (or3.4 soon).

I would like to updated this workflow, but the updated version will likely use or generate hpXML files for each unit and convert those into OSM, and then combine (or live alongside the commercial first floor). It isn't straight forward and will take some time to workout. The hpXML approach would be more in line with ResStock and URBANopt.

I also want to acknowledge Matt Dahlhausen, Joe Robertson, and Korbaga Woldekidan who heavily supported this modeling.

This is great! I have been looking for logic about the Central WWHP for a while. Thanks David!
