Hi,

When I am using OS to run my model, I get really weird (very high and choppy at the start) results for early days of Jan. I used EnergyPlus and for the Run Period, I selected the model to start from the previous Dec (12/01/2005 --- 12/31/2006). In this case the model provides accurate results. Is there anyway around this issue in OpenStuido? and does anyone know the reason behind this issue?

Thanks,

@mfath I'm assuming you're referring to hourly or timestep results in DView? Or are you using a different tool to graph time-series outputs? Adding a screenshot of what you're seeing would be very helpful.

It could also be good to know the source of your weather file. It would also be good to know if there are warnings in EnergyPlus error file about not converging in warmup period.

@Aaron Boranian That is correct and I am also looking into peak electric demand for Jan. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1dNsY...

Also, here is the issue I am seeing for early Jan. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1wfsy...

Thanks, Mohammad

Make sure you're not plotting the Design Days run periods in addition to your actual annual run period.
