I got a simple model, one zone with a hole in the roof in DesignBuilder.

I exported from DesignBuilder to gbXML and imported it into OpenStudio.

OpenStudio imported the roof surfaces with a ground outside boundary condition. Why is that the case?

How gbXML model should be constructed so that the roof has outdoors outside boundary condition?

@Tokarzewski just curious, why are you exporting from DesignBuilder (one EnergyPlus interface) into OpenStudio (another EnergyPlus interface)?

It's even more twisted. Someone was exporting the gbXML from DesignBuilder to Ladybug tools and it uses OS SDK. Why? From what I understand he wants to simulate tracking PV panels on building facades using Radiance and LBT. He got stuck during the export-import process which was resolved by just removing the hole from the roof. But it got me wondering why it did happen and where is the issue... is it on the DB export side or is it on the OS import side? I will accept any help :) https://discourse.ladybug.tools/t/imp...
