gbXML from Revit to OS

Hi, everyone. I am importing a gbXML file from Revit to OpenStudio. The model is a simple one with 1 floor, 4 exterior walls, 1 roof and few windows and 1 exterior door. The model has an interior wall which divides it in 2 spaces. In Revit, I converted this model into gbXML using "room/space volumes" and before exporting it I had a look in the "Export gbXML - settings" and I could see all the "analythical surfaces" included the 2 floor surfaces. However, when I imported the model in OS, I had a look in the 3D viewer and I realized that the 2 floor surfaces didn't appear. Then, I set up the parameters to the model in OS, and I run the simulation but it fails. It says that no floor exist and all the value per floor area are zero. I would be grateful if someone could help to bring the gbXML model to OS complete. Thank you.

Can you share the gbXML file?

Thank you Mostapha. I tried to upload the gbXML file, through editing my post and using the attachment button, but it only allows png, tiff files and the like. Sorry, but I couldn't find where to share the file. Could you tell me it?

Can you upload it to Dropbox or Google Drive and share the link here?

Hi @MaRe, I uploaded the fixed version here. It was missing the floors as you said but it was an easy fix.

Thank you Mostapha. Please, could you explain how the file was fixed?. I ask this, because in Revit I created the 2 rooms and I lengthen the room's base offset a bit to make sure the floor was included. Also, the "Export gbXML - settings" showed the floor.

I fixed it using the Pollination Rhino plugin (https://www.pollination.cloud/rhino-p...). Revit's native gbXML export is not really reliable. You might want to use the Pollination plugin (https://www.pollination.cloud/revit-p...). I can also test the model for you if you can share the Revit file.

Thank you Mostapha for you answer . I am going to try the Pollination plugin for Revit. I would be grateful if you could have a look in the Revit model. This is the link: https://1drv.ms/u/s!AiNrTLLdXCsqhNVSZ... Thank you.

Hi @MaRe! I did a quick test and the model is being exported with no issues. See here and here.

Thank you very much Mostapha. I'll definitely try Pollination plugin.
