Hi all... I've gone to the OpenStudio site and downloaded openstudio-sketchup-plugin.rbz, OpenStudioApplication-1.3.0+5faa91ea6b-Windows.zip, OpenStudio-3.3.0+ad235ff36e-Windows.exe and ParametricAnalysisTool-3.3.0-Windows.exe and cannot figure out how to work with this software.

OpenStudio doesn't show up as an app, and when I try to install the extension in Sketchup it doesn't show up...

I'm just trying to find/download an app that will allow me to fairly accurately model the energy consumption of my house so I can do some 'what-if' analyses on the proposed energy upgrades I have in mind.

HELP?!?

OH - I'm using an Acer Laptop with an 11th Gen Intel i7 core @ 2.3 GHz, 16GB ram, Windows11 on a 64-bit platform, if that affects anything...

@WaynG does this post help? If you search for "openstudio install" on Unmet Hours you will find many more as well.

If you plan on reviewing possible energy upgrades for your home, you may want to look into using BEopt instead of OpenStudio.

Thanks - I’ll try the search! Regarding BEopt, it seems fairly straightforward but I haven’t been able to figure out how to import regional TMY weather data… if you can show/tell me how to do that I’ll try BEopt again!

@WaynG if you search for "beopt weather", that turns up 22 posts. This one is likely most helpful, you can download EPWs for free and import them into BEopt.
