Hi,

For a while, I have been using SketchUp and OpenStudio together for building energy modelling. However, I want to explore the capabilities of building energy modelling with the combination of Revit and OpenStudio. May I know if it is as efficient as SketchUp-OpenStudio? Please let me know the pros and cons while choosing Revit-OpenStudio over SketchUp-OpenStudio for building energy modelling. Also, is there is any compatibility issues arising from use of latest versions of Revit and OpenStudio?

Thanks in advance.

If it's important to you, Revit has, as of v2022, used an older version of OpenStudio (2.8.0).

Thanks for your response @MatthewSteen. The OpenStudio SDK Version Compatibility Matrix link text doesn't include Revit in its list of compatible softwares', hence your comment is very helpful.

Is there a particular reason for you to use Revit-OpenStudio? Besides, Revit has an integrated system analysis so you can do energy simulation inside Revit. See: https://blogs.autodesk.com/revit/2019...

I have a model that I analyzed with open studio in Revit. I need to specify that the window are opened at night and they are closed in the day but I do not know how to do this. I am also having difficulty in getting the open studio results generated by revit in CSV format. Please can anyone help?
