I connected an Earth Tube to a greenhouse Zone, and want to get the exhaust air flow temperature, I assume the exhaust air flow volume is as same as the inlet/designed flow volume of the earth tube.

  1. My first question is if the earth tube module gives an exhaust to the zone automatically at all? I don't find any information in I/O Reference to get any information about it. https://bigladdersoftware.com/epx/doc...
  2. If I use Earth tube module, must the ZoneVentilation be actived and a openable window is required? I check the ZoneVentilation output the air flow volume is not the same as I gived to earth tubeimage description

@Yi have you already reviewed the Unmet Hours posts with the energyplus and earth-tube tags? This post and this post should be especially helpful.

yes, i see them. Now I'm still trying to follow your advice to build a model, but I'm not sure if that's what I really want. I can not post a picture here, so I just paste the description from https://discourse.ladybug.tools/t/how...

still trying to understand how it works https://bigladdersoftware.com/epx/doc...

@Yi ahhh, so you want to have the earth tube provide air into the greenhouse (Room A), as well as provide air from the greenhouse into a different zone (Room B)? Or is air flowing between zones in the opposite direction (have the exhaust air from Room B provided to Room A)?

earthtube air first to Room A and get heat from sun, and then to room B

@Aaron Boranian I have one more question, is it possible to apply a duct to the ideal loads air system as a bypass?
