Hello, I want to use Radiance-DesignBuilder for daylighting analysis. However, I have some questions. In calculation settings, there is a checkbox related to "Monte Carlo random sampling". I have read the help file but I don't understand how it works. The help also suggests not using it. Could you please tell me how it works and why it isn't a good idea to use it? Thank you

Assuming this switch corresponds to the "-u" option in Radiance, it rarely makes a big difference. If you are generating images (i.e., using rpict), then the default is "off", and if you are calculating illuminance quantities and the like (i.e., using rtrace), then the default is "on". I would generally stick with those defaults.
