Storage tank unexpected behaviour
Hi All, I'm trying to use Water Heater as simply HW TES - Hot Water Thermal Energy Storage, that is it has no internal sources.
With 1-Mixed every seems fine
With 2-Stratified I've no Boiler energy consumption, Tank temperature progressively goes down, but as a miracle hot water radiator gives the requested heating rate output (please see attached screenshot).
With 2-Stratified I've no heating consumption at all, but Unmet Load Hours are under control (simple ABUPS check, confirmed by Mean -air Temperature analisys of the unique room space , see the scheme here).
I've no idea what is happening . It could be a tremendous bug ?
Did some of you already noticed this?
What do you think about?
FYI, the stratified tank has undergone a lot of change between versions 8.6 and 9.2 (or so). Perhaps worth testing some different EnergyPlus versions to see if the results have changed?
