Energyplus simulation time is the same for 1 or 2 weeks?

Hi! I tried to run energyplus, not an annual simulation, but less because of the simulation time. So, I tried to run 2 weeks of the year. Still, I wanted to reduce a little more the simulation time, so I tried 1 week and noticed it was approximately the same time (between 7 and 10 minutes more or less). Is this normal? And what are the ways to reduce simulation time then?

Because there is time for warmup and sizing period, cutting from 2 to 1 week run period will not cut your time in half. If you want to speed it up look at what your simulation timesteps per hour are, and how many surfaces you have, specifically a single zone with many surfaces, as the radiant calculations at each time step are the square of the number of surfaces in that zone.
