How to simulate one building surrounded by buildings?
The basic model in energyplus is for the isolated building. I wonder whether we can put the building surrounded by many other buildings? Is it by changing the openstrudio profile? Could anyone point to some hands-on tutorials? Thank you very much
Which aspect of surrounding buildings are you hoping to capture in your model? you can set the terrain input in the Building EPlus object to impact the wind speed at different heights, or you could model the adjacent buildings as shading surfaces to account for shading. Pretty sure there is no way in EPlus to account for complex airflow around buildings but others might have ideas.
