The "Processing Reporting measures" process is failing, alouth the simulation runs fine. For some reason I get the message: Warn: EnergyPlus reported area is 0 (m^2). OpenStudio reported area is 684 (m^2). Warn: Envelope Summary section failed and was skipped because: Wrong arguments for overloaded method 'toNeatString'.

Does anyone know why the reported area becomes 0? Here is the full dump, note the error is listed after the openstudio simulation reults...

Confirm that one or more of your OpenStudio spaces is included in an EnergyPlus thermal zone, ideally all of them, or the warning about area's not matching will show up. The section calculation EUI's is dividing by area and expects non-zero value. EnergyPlus used to fail if you didn't have one or more zones, but now it will run successfully, but probably isn't what your intent was.

I've got the exact same problem, despite making sure that my one single area is included in a thermal zone.

This is the error file from the simulation. link text

By the way, this is the first checkpoint form the book Building Energy Modeling with OpenStudio.

@Kmech, that simulation seemed to complete successfully. Are you referring to this warning, it is about ground temperatures, just indicates default ground temperatures will be used.

** Warning ** GetHTSurfaceData: Surfaces with interface to Ground found but no "Ground Temperatures" were input.
