Does DCV/mechanical ventilation work for occupant count below 1 in EnergyPlus?

Hi everyone,

Does DCV work for occupant count below 1? for instance, when there is 0.5 occupant count, would there be mechanical ventilation?

@Wolfgang Kaiser what simulation tool are you using? Please add a tag and/or mention the tool in your question so that others can provide better solutions.

The answer is Yes. Occupancy (number of people) does not have to be a whole number. EnergyPlus recognizes a small number or even less than one person (e.g., 0.5).
