C:\fakepath\2 floor structures.pngHello,

In all radiant system example files, the radiant system is assigned to a whole surface. What if I want to assign the radiant system to part of the floor area?

Is it possible to build a floor surface in EnergyPlus that has 2 different structures? For example, part of the floor defined as a 4" concrete and the other part of the floor area to be composed of different materials that are defined in the "Construction:Internal Source"?

Thanks, Amir

Based on your diagram, I would look into creating a subsurface whose parent (hosting) surface is the 4" concrete material; the subsurface is like a window or door (but could be a floor surface?), and would replace the existing area (i.e. cut a hole in the 4" concrete floor and replace it with the subsurface, whose material could be different from the 4" concrete as defined in Construction:Internal Source).
