Is it possible to perform a detailed simulation of the effect of long-wave radiation from surrounding environment (buildings) and ground in EnergyPlus or any urban energy model (coupled or not)?

For academic purposes I would like to simulate (sensitivity analysis) of a simple model surrounded by different configurations or density of surrounding environment, in order to calculate the impact of different orientations, densities and climates

Yes, EnergyPlus enables you to do so. The attached article (http://dx.doi.org/10.3390/en13092382) describes the EnergyPlus feature and how it can be used with an example. EnergyPlus engineering and IO references have details on the feature.
