Combination Geothermal and Solar Thermal Heating System
Hello Unmet Hours Community,
I am brand new to Energy Plus and have spent the last three weeks doing nothing but trying to learn the software and get my energy model to run with out fatal erroring. I am trying to create a model of a house that uses a combination geothermal and solar thermal heating system. The solar thermal heats a water storage tank and then that heat is supplied to the house by way of heat pumps and radiant floor heating. Once the heat from the tank is all used up, a three way valve is flipped and an open loop ground source heat pump is then used to meet the rest of the heating demand for the house.
As part of my graduate school thesis, I need to create an energy model of this system. I finally got the ground source heat pump loop to run with out fatal erroring but I know I haven't done it completely right. I am trying to get this model done by the end of May and am desperately seeking out help to finish the model by then. Any and all example files are appreciated and if you're willing to meet with me on zoom to look over my model that would be a huge help to me. I tried to attach my IDF file, but it wouldn't let me.
