Hi guys, to find out the infiltration through the building envelope I would like to perform a virtual blower door test where my fan inside stepwise creates an overpressure of 50 Pa compared to outside. How can I approach this?

This fan is not in the HVAC air loop?

Typically for a blower door test you would position your fan in the actual room of a building, blowing through the door to the outside to exhaust the complete volume of air. Then, you could calculate your air changes per hour at 50 Pa pressure differential with ACH50 = Q/V, where Q is your cfm flow from the room to the outdoor environment and V is the volume of the room, after appropriate unit conversions.

Not sure what measure you would use to place a fan in the zone rather than on the air loop.

Hi Jasper, I also would like to perform a virtual blower door test. Have you found a solution?
