Examples for Python data exchange and runtime API

I am currently looking at the Python API and was wondering if there are any detailed examples on how to use it? My goal is to manipulate parameters in a running simulation depending on zone temperature, humidity etc. I checked the ExampleFiles folder in the installation and the Python Plugin examples but didn't find an example which uses the callback functions of the runtime API. Does anyone have some small examples in which the runtime and data transfer API are used? Any help and advice is appreciated.
