Airflow Network- Error External Node
Hello everyone! I am trying to model the flow of air through a window that is between two zones. When I try to run the simulation I am resisted by the following error * Severe * GetAirflowNetworkInput: No External Nodes found in AirflowNetwork: Multizone: ExternalNode. There must be at least 1 external node defined. * Fatal * GetAirflowNetworkInput: Errors found getting inputs. Previous error (s) cause program termination.
But in the AirflowNetwork: SimulationControl section, in the field:Wind Pressure Coefficient Type I selected SurfaceAverageCalculation. From the file InputOutputReference pages 1042-1043 it reads "With this choice you do not have to enter any of the following objects: AirflowNetwork: MultiZone: Wind Pressure Coefficient Array, AirflowNetwork: MultiZone: ExternalNode and AirflowNetwork: MultiZone: WindPressureCoefficientValues. " So I can't understand what the problem is.
I tried to add an External Node, obviously without using it in the model as I don't need it, but it keeps giving me this error.
Has anyone ever had this problem? Could you help me solve it? Thanks in advance
If you're trying to use a window on an internal surface, that could be the problem. I don't recall if it that is allowed (I thought it was, but maybe I'm wrong), but it sounds like there's something about your model that is causing the code to go places it shouldn't. Can you share your model?
Thank you Jason. Yes, I actually have windows between two zones, I didn't think it was a problem, in the end it can be seen as a door. I can share the model but I don't understand where I can do it. Can you help me?
The Help says you now have sufficient karma to be able to upload the file, or at least add a link to it (e.g. a Dropbox link or similar). I see an "Attachment" button if I click edit on your post, I haven't used that but that could be it.
Thank you. Here is the link, let me know if you can download the document. Thanks for the support.
Hi.I have the exact same problem dealing with a model of mine.Have any soluions occured?
