Not creating eplusout.end file
Hi, I am running a Multifamily model and it is giving me this error.
Found error in state 'simulation' with message [":/ruby/2.5.0/gems/openstudio-workflow-2.1.0/lib/openstudio/workflow/util/energyplus.rb failed with EnergyPlus failed and did not create an eplusout.end file. Check the stdout-energyplus log.,
When I check the stdout-energyplus that file has only date and eplus version, I am not able to find out if there is an issue with my model or something else.
I am experiencing a similar issue. Did you have any luck in getting this resolved?
No, I did not get the issue but there is an alternate solution to find out the issue.You should run the energyplus in.idf file and from there you can get the error that is stopping your simulation.
I ran the in.idf and eplaunch crashed and didn't generate an eplusout.err file. This is the same issue that I was having in Openstudio. I would run the simulation and it would fail without providing any clues as to why. I found the issue just by chance. I deleted all of the thermal zones in my model and made a couple generic zones and assigned them to all of the spaces. It seems like there was an issue with the thermal zones in my original model because the simulation ran fine after I recreated them. Strange that this wouldn't trigger an error promp. Anyways thanks for the feedback.
