hi there, I'm using OpenStudio, trying to model variable radiant flooring as zone equipment to each of my thermal zones, and have it liked to my plant loop.

I'm getting an error telling me that "component name" and "component object type" are missing on one of my plant loop demand branches. the branches don't show up anywhere in the osm text file, so I checked the idf file and found that actually 3 of the branches don't have the zone equipment assigned to it. I can't find anything in the osm file or the OS app that looks like those 3 equipment objects are any different than the rest of them.

any ideas how I can "attach" or assign the objects? I tried deleting or unlinking and reassigning multiple times, nothing changes. exact error text pasted below.

thanks steph

We need more info to help. Can you share the model or steps to reproduce the problem? How are you creating your model? What objects specifically are you using?

thank you for asking. I ended up getting it to work just now because 3 of my spaces/zones had no floor (they were tagged roof/ceiling instead). so the error wasn't with the equipment itself but bc there was not floor to map it to. what's odd is there was no error showing up to tell me this?? but anyway it has moved on to fresh errors... thank you
