Is OpenStudio a replacement for energyplus IDF editor?

I don't have an energyplus editor on my mac/ Is open studio a replacement for energyplus editor

Short answer is no, it is not an IDF editor per se - although it will generate IDF files for EnergyPlus simulations. You'll find a good overview of what OpenStudio offers here.

I haven't tried it out myself, but you may want to look up BLS' Atom package for EnergyPlus. This would likely correspond to what you're after on a Mac.

My answer is no as well.

When I use OpenStudio to analysis the building energy, I find that there are not as many kinds of reports as in IDF. For instance, the results of Zone Ideal Loads Supply Air Total Cooling and heating Energy can not be output in OpenStudio V3.1.0.
