Are there any available user manuals for OpenStudio with Sketchup? I am a beginner with an engineering background but need to become familiar fairly quickly to develop a baseline energy model that I can use to size an HVAC system. What I have found so far on the web does not walk me through the steps or I may be missing something.

In addition to @Ammar De 's great answer, you can find more up to date videos on the OpenStudio Coalition's Youtube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC8ZE...

Since you are asking about Openstudio within SketchUp, I am assuming you are using the Openstudio SketchUp plugin to model geometry. There are documentations as well as video tutorials. You can find below helpful links to get started with Sketchup/OpenStudio energy modeling:

1- Documentation:

a- Installation Instructions and General Workflow

b- OpenStudio SketchUp Plug-in Interface Guide

c- Openstudio Basic workflow guide 2015

d- OpenStudio Application Interface Guide

e- Creating Openstudio Model

f- Best Practices

g- Running Simulation and Viewing Results

h- Troubleshooting

For more, you can visit https://openstudiocoalition.org/

2- Youtube video tutorials:Helpful video tutorials by NREL demonstrating the workflow (Note: some of the videos are old) https://www.youtube.com/user/NRELOpen.... You will be able to find several Sketchup/OpenStudio video tutorials on Youtube, just use the key words (Sketchup and Openstudio) when you search.

3- Unmet Hours: You should be able to find useful information on how to get started, modeling a certain technology, or a solution for your problems/errors by searching this website. Remember to always look for the information yourself before asking a question.
