Hi All, I am studying the difference between the DOE 2.2, 2.3 and DOAS.

I have a model built in DOE 2.2, using VAVS. Then, I noticed that DOE 2.3 could model a DOAS that is able to separtate the loading of Outdoor air. I open the DOE 2.2 model in DOE 2.3, and then retify the error such as HEAT-CONTROL that is newly required in DOE 2.3. And then I breakdown the fan power for DOAS and the subsidiary system (which were combined by prorata the PAU fan power according to the Primary air flow to different system).

In result, the DOE 2.3 (without DOAS setting) use slightly higher Electricty and steam but slight lower chilled water. However, the one using DOAS has much higher Electricty and chilled water consumption and lower steam consumption, which I am not expected...

And it is noted that the unmet hours in the two DOE 2.3 are much lower than the one in DOE 2.2, which may explained why the DOE 2.3 is using slightly higher energy. But why DOAS is suing much higher energy than the conventional setting in DOE 2.3? (Conventional setting means merging the PAU fan power to the individual subsidiary system.

*Btw, I am using eQuest 3.65 3175

Thank for your time.
