Hello everyone! I have a question about thermalchimneytest.idf. Why the cross sectional areas of inlets and outlets are not designed and therefore cannot be seen on the geometry of Euclid Plugin in Sketchup while they are specified in the idf file?
Because EPlus uses a specific object to describe the thermal chimney: ZoneTermalChimney
It is not a building geometry related object (even if it contains geometrical infos, of course), therefore it has no visual rapresentation.
The same is, for example, for blinds on windows: you can put them into the energy model but you cannot see them through any visualization tools
