When I open my OpenStudio V3.0.0 model in sketch up the surfaces are all white and I cannot choose a render option. Using the Inspector, no openstudio information that was previously entered comes up. It seems like its being read as sketchup drawings rather than the openstudio geometry that I have previously built. I also am unable to run the OS diagnostic script. Any idea on how to fix this or what caused it so i can prevent it from happening again?

Im using sketchup 2019 and the sketchup 2019 plugin 1.0.0 and openstudio v3.0.0

When you save the model, are you using the File / Save menu, or the Extensions / OpenStudio / Save OSM menu? The first will save the SketchUp file ending in .skp and the second will save the OpenStudio model file ending in .osm. You can read this post and this post for more details.

I am saving using the Extensions / OpenStudio / Save OSM .I am able to open the model directly through the openstudio application and the geometry shows up that way. But i am unable to edit it through sketchup.

When you open the model are you opening SketchUp by itself (not by double clicking on a SKP file) and then choosing "Open OpenStudio Model"? Try starting SketchUp, then open the Ruby console "Window->Ruby Console", then "Open OpenStudio Model". Do you see any output in the Ruby console?

Whenever I open an OpenStudio model through Sketchup, its always by first opening a new sketchup model and then using the OpenStudio extension commands. This is the output message from the Ruby Console:

Open Studio Model Error: #<nameerror: uninitialized="" constant="" model=""> <main>:in <main>' SketchUp:1:ineval'

That is an odd error message. Do you have any other OpenStudio, Euclid, or other energy modeling plugins installed?

Would you be able to try the 1.1.0 version of the plug-in and the 1.1.0 version of the OpenStudio Application? The official 1.1.0 OpenStudio Application will be released in a few days, you could try this pre-release before then.
