Why is a fresh diagnostic OS file not opening?

I have just run the diagnostic script on a model and I have tried to open the new "diagnostic" file that was created. However, I get an error that says, "An unhandled exception has occurred. bad allocation". I don't find a question here related to an OS file not opening. Could anyone offer help on what is causing this? I don't believe I've encountered this type of error before.

We need more information to help you. Steps to reproduce would be good: Can you share your diagnostics model, and tell us what OpenStudio version you used please?

We ran the diagnostic after trying to run the model with first just the ideal air loads. It gave a degenerate error noting a high number of them (over 3000). We ran the diagnostic, then tried to open it and got the unhandled exception error. I've since tried the script titled Export Selected Spaces to New External Model. It opens now, but in the initial opening, it listed a large number of surfaces that were "automatically fixed". I also noticed that no shading devices made it across the export/import process. Can those be brought across if the diagnostic copy cannot be resolved?

We are close to getting an ideal air loads config to work, but receive the following errors: * Severe * <root>[HeatBalanceAlgorithm] - Object should have no more than 1 properties. * Severe * <root>[ShadowCalculation] - Object should have no more than 1 properties. * Severe * <root>[SimulationControl] - Object should have no more than 1 properties. * Severe * <root>[Sizing:Parameters] - Object should have no more than 1 properties. * Severe * <root>[Timestep] - Object should have no more than 1 properties.
