I'm trying to generate an IDF file by using OpenStudio. I've already done the 3D building construction. Now, I need to create the HVAC system of the building.

In the image here attached there's the floor plant of the building on which I'm working: C:\fakepath\Impianto Termico.PNG

The heating/cooling system is represented, as you can see, by:

  • 1 outdoor unit (beacuase the other one is connected): Mitsubishi PUMY-P125YKM4;
  • 3 interior units: Mitsubishi PLFY-P25 VCM-E3;
  • 1 Compact wall-mounted fan heater: Vortice MICRORAPID T 1000-V0

The red pipe connects the different units.

I'm undecided about what type of HVAC system I have to create in OpenStudio, if a "Zone HVAC Equipment" or an "Air Loop System".

Is there anyone who could help me?

Besides, any other hints would be useful! Thank You!

You want to add a VRF system instead. Go to the Loop tab, in the dropdown select VRF, then drag a VRF System.
