What version of OpenStudio or the OpenStudio Application are you using? If you are not using the most recent version that uses OpenStudio 3.0.0 or OpenStudio 3.0.1 can you upgrade to that and let me know if you still see the error. It is possible some recent changes work on the newer Ruby Used by OpenStudio 3.0 but not older Ruby. If that is the case then I can update the min_compatible tag to 3.0 from 2.0.

Thank you for your response, I'm using the openstudio 2.9.1, I have tried the 3.0.0 but when I installed it I couldn't find the software on my laptop somehow it isn't installed even if the installation process is completed.
