Heating Setpoint vs. HVAC Zone Heating Setpoint IES VE
I'm having trouble resolving my unmet hours using System 7a in IES VE, very specifically because of a "HVAC zone heating setpoint" that's added when I add a morning ramp up. Since the heating for my rooms was not ramping up soon enough in the morning, I've used the optimal start option that's built into IES. It does successfully start the morning ramp up to meet my heating setpoint. However, there is then an HVAC zone heating setpoint that is added to my zones that follows the morning ramp up. My unmet hours calculation in the BPRM Report then uses the HVAC zone heating setpoint and I'm still not meeting the unmet hours requirement.
Any thoughts on the airflow or heating coil operation to resolve this would be much appreciated!
Are you using zones or spaces in the HVAC system? Also we'd need to know how you've got the setpoints setup: are the set in the templates (or spaces) and then linked into the HVAC systems, or are you overriding them and defining them specifically in the systems? Having the two unlinked is the biggest cause I've seen for unmet hours like that.
