Floorspace JS is losing floorplan.json when OS3.01 crashes.
I have OpenStudio 3.01 with openstudio application 1.01. I use Floorspace JS to draw the 2D file. When I am in Openstudio, say in the Construction Tab, I frequently get a crash. The 2D drawing floorplan.json is often lost and I have to redraw. This is very frustrating.

I can find a floorplan.json file from the previous time when I saved under a different filename but thats about it.

Any suggestions please?

I dont own Sketchup Pro 2019

This sounds like it might be related to this post. Do you get any popup error windows when this crash occurs?

backup your floorplan.js every time you edit it because there are several scenarios where it will delete your work. I had a new one happen today. I wasn't even in the directory with windows explorer.

I think this is related to this issue, we are planning to try to fix this in the next release from the OpenStudio Coalition.

Yes, I commented on that post too. Ye I agree that there are several scenarios where the json file is deleted. Thanks for your comments.

Try closing windows explorer when working on OS and see if it helps. Also don't have any files or folders open that are under the project folder.

Thanks, I'll try that too. For now, I'm using OS3.0 (OpenStudio Applications 1.00)

I also met this problem after using SketchUp.

I drew it on another project and then copy the JSON file and merge it so that I don't need to configure the other settings again.

unfortunately, in the floorplan, the name of the rooms have to be the same and components(windows and doors) won't be matched.
