I have prepared a baseline model in OpenStudio and now would like to determine the optimum orientation of the building for maximum energy efficiency. How do I test my baseline model in Parametric Analysis Tool for different orientations?

Do you need to do this for LEED or ASHRAE 90.1 compliance? if so, a similar question has been asked. If you're just interested in the effects of different orientations you could use the measure mentioned in the previous question in PAT to run additional scenarios.

@Matthew Thanks for the answer. I ran the simulation for different alternatives but the energy consumption only differed negligibly (1-2%) which leads me to believe that my baseline model is lacking in something. What could be wrong?

Thanks

I've seen similar differences for LEED projects with typical building designs so you're results aren't necessarily wrong.
