How are HVAC system sized for Title 24 compliance if the mechanical system is in scope for compliance? Do we have to size the system in CBECC-com or are the systems sized in another software like E+, trane trace and the values are manually plugged in to CBECC-Com?

This is obviously an old question though for the community here, sizing for Title 24 is required to be done independently of CBECC (previously known as CBECC-COM) following any requirements for the building mechanical code. There is a way to use CBECC with autosized values specified though they are very crude using a few high level sizing ratios and the simulation will not result in results which can be used, their will be a watermark. I believe in the latest CBECC there was an option to size the model in E+ though I have not tested this yet. image description
