I had some issue removing a subsurface via the sketchup plugin as it led to the model failing when run. I opened the text file and removed the subsurface that way but when i then save this it obviously saves as a text file and then i dont know how to save it as an osm file so i have the updated model with the errors that led to failure removed. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I'm not sure what program you used to edit the text inside your OSM file but it might have just added a .txt extension by default. You can try changing the file extension back to .osm using your operating system's file explorer rename method.
