I am using EnergyPlus v. 8.9.0 to simulate a building envelope consisting of four wall surfaces. I am trying to graph the changing of the inside face surface temperature and then comparing the graphs using a different material for the surfaces.

I have got the output for the inside face surface temperature, however, on the first timestep (I am using 60 seconds for the timestep) the temperatures are different for the two different material. My logic said that it is supposed to start from a single same temperature, isn't it? What arrangement should I do to make it work? Or is there an input somewhere on IDF Editor that stated the temperature of the surface on t=0? Thank you.

E+ sets the initial conditions of the model based on the warm up period that takes place before your simulation period runs. You can control the warm up with the minimum/maximum number of warm up days under https://bigladdersoftware.com/epx/doc...

I'm not sure if there is any way to set these starting conditions at the begining of your simulation.
