I haven't used this E+ measure before, but I can take a look at your model if you could share it.

https://drive.google.com/open?id=1h8Q... The error is coming from Lifecycle cost use price escalation in the generated idf file, I cannot change the file since it is a read-only file. Also, i downloaded the measure from BCL any idea what could be the reason for such an error.

Thanks

If none of the measures failed but the datapoint failed, then it is likely due to a fatal error in the EnergyPlus simulation; however you said it runs smoothly in EnergyPlus directly. Look at the epllusout.err file in your datapoint and see what the fatal error is. If the IDF file itself is fine, then it is possible the weather file wasn't setup correctly in OpenStudio but was when you ran the IDF through EPLaunch.

Hey David, I changed the Weather file and now I am getting Energy Plus error that is Life cycle cost: Use price escallation Fuel Oil #1 , Failed to match enum values.

What could be the reason behind this?

The trick with some EnergyPlus measures, is that when the EnergyPlus IDD changes, they can be come stale if they are not maintained, This may be an example of that. Try updating the the measure to use the newer enum value for EnergyPlus of "FuelOilNo1" instead of "FuelOil#1". You can see the fuel types in the input output reference document..

Thank you David, But I cannot change the name in the same idf file generated in local results tab. That file is a read only. How to change that variable. Also when i am using a different energyplus measure. I am encountering the same issue.

Thanks

@Rwadhwa910 can you specify what measure from BCL this is. Is it one of the tariff selection and model setup measures?

Yes, ExcedDAT Tariffselection one.

I confirm that after changing FuelOil#1 and FuelOil#2 to FuelOilNo1 and FuelOilNo2, respectively, in the IDF file, the simulation was successful. I also tried to revise the E+ measure entitled "Austing Energy Tariff Selection and Model Setup" by making the same change mentioned above and the simulation was successfully performed in OpenStudio. So, @David Goldwasser, I think the measure in BCL needs to be updated. @Rwadhwa910, you can also revise the measure using any text editor and make the changes above.

@Ehsank So, I was able to run the IDF file successfully but not the PAT model, How to do that in the PAT model. When I go to the IDF file generated in local results in the PAT model, I cannot edit the file as it is read-only.

All the downloaded measures are saved under this address: C:\Users\<name>\BCL You can find which folder contains your measure and revise the 'measure.rb' file using a text editor. That's how I usually edit the BCL measures. Not sure if there are better ways or not.

Thanks @Ehsank@David Goldwasser It worked, I was able to run the PAT file without any error.
