I want to get two output results using Energyplus; Surface inside face conduction heat transfer rate per area and surface window net heat transfer rate. I need to get equal values for these two outputs monthly, without any shading controls and effects. I didn't include any input for shading devices but I couldn't get equal values. It seems like in first three floors , values are less while other floors, values are almost same. Also, last two floors again the less values. It's a 20 storey building. I want to demonstrate that without any shading effect, the values are same. How can I solve this problem.

Thanks

Why would surface conduction heat transfer rate per area be equal to window net heat transfer rate?

I need equal values only for the surface inside face conduction heat transfer rate per area. I didn't mean that surface inside face conduction heat transfer rate per area should be equal to window net heat transfer rate. Sorry I didn't mention it clearly. In my model there are 20 floors. At this moment, there is no shading from surrounding building on my target building. As a result, the outputs for all the 20 levels should be identical. However, the outputs shows different values of outputs for each level of the building. That is my issue.

Thanks

Report the Surface Outside Face Temperature to see the variation of outdoor temperature with height of the surface. You should also look at Surface Inside Face Temperatureto make sure the zones are controlled to the same temperature set point.

Thank you for your reply.

If surface outside face temperature and surface inside face temperature have different values, how I can change the zone temperature set points to a same value ?

The zone thermostat temperature set point schedule sets the zone temperature.

Got it . Thank you very much !
