I made a building in design builder and I want to create an IDF file for that building. But, I am unable to create an IDF file. I checked this link but there isn't any option to convert to IDF ( check the image below )

I also tried this link as well but again there isn't any option to manually put export folder ( see image below )

Can anyone help me as to how to get an IDF file from Design Builder?

Are you using a free 30-day trial of DesignBuilder, or do you have a licensed copy of the software?

30 day free trial.

That could be the reason, but @Dave will likely be able to confirm that.

Ohh okay. Any other software I could use to for modeling the building so as to I can get an IDF file? Or any other alternative?

Aaron is correct, some functionality is limited to minimise licence abuse so an evaluation/trial license won't allow an IDF to be exported. If you need to evaluate this specifically as part of your overall trial of the software (ahead of purchasing a licence) you can contact DesignBuilder for help.

I have the Trial License and I have the same issue.. If I'll buy a "Personal Student License" (which costs 50£), could I export an IDF file after importing a 2D-drawing in DXF format?

Yes, you can export the IDF from a DesignBuilder model with a Student Personal Licence. To avoid any uncertainty, you can't just import a DXF and then output an IDF. You must first create the geometry using the DXF which you can then export in IDF and various other formats.
